Becoming certified is an investment in your profession, your education, and your success. Since many local, national and international building codes require certified personnel on the jobsite, your value increases.
Certification can help build your reputation with clients and specifiers and offers potential to become eligible for more projects. Investing in your team is an investment in your business. As a business, you need certified employees to get accredited and to get work in the lab and field.
Mandating the involvement of certified personnel will ensure qualified people on the jobsite doing the work correctly. Proper performance of test procedures improves the reliability of test results and aids in the quality control of the concrete. Most importantly, proper testing assures accurate and timely verification of concrete that meets design specifications and identifies concrete that is substandard; this can minimize job site problems and costly delays. In the event of a dispute, the certified technician's complete and accurate test records become essential.
